Tre, due, uno … eleggiamoli!

21 Feb

Facile a dirsi? Fantasie confermate o sconfessate nei prossimi giorni?
I soliti Italianer?

Ad una settimana dal voto

18 Feb

Vatican: the battle of Rome

13 Feb

Some twenty years ago, an anarchist named Hakim Bey, wrote a freak book (Temporary Autonomous Zone), which foreshadowed the emersion of pirate factions, in temporary autonomous zones by the financial ‘imperial’ system, from which to operate intrusively ‘riding the strings’ of the Machine. Definitely delusional idea, except that, 15 years later, GW Bush and the entire U.S. establishment waged a battle to the ‘rogue states’, which even before the ‘asymmetrical war’ Central America was at the mercy of the Narcos and Corporations as is now also becoming in Africa, after Eastern Europe, with the addition of ethnic or religious factions.

piovra ior vaticanIn one of these autonomous territories by the imperial system of the stock exchange and the perfect bipolarism, there is – by years – the Catholic Church Kingdom, based in Rome with ‘branches’  everywhere, in Italy and abroad . ‘Branches’ because the priest who runs a small mission fund raises, aggregates consent, supports the economy, validates the reliability of other people, but, while not ‘directly dependent’ by State of the Vatican, he can be removed , removed, plundered or excommunicated by the Pope, who is at the same time absolute Pontiff and King of a court composed by the Princes of the Church. A Court Vatican that extends to the so-called ‘Roman Black Nobility’, composed primarily by Italian citizens, who, not infrequently, have prominent positions in the Italian capital.

Points of service delivery such as parishes and missions, ‘branches’ and delegations as bishoprics, ‘controlled’ as congregations, ‘locked in’ as banks and foundations, all belonging to the Roman Board on behalf of God: an element of atavistic modernity, a primordial networking, which allowed for two thousand years the Catholic Church to survive and to branch in the temporal power.

A Temporary Autonomous Zone which is consolidated in the course of the 80s, during the pontificate of Karol Wojtyla, who took over after the strange death of the reformer Pope Albino Luciani, while personal computers started to take over the world of men, the first planetary networks were born and when opportunities of easy money and criminal collusions increased exponentially.

A pontificate of John Paul II, who was spotted by death on the altar of Archbishop Oscar Romero, who came back from a visit in Rome literally “dismayed for the coldness with which the pope had evaluated the extensive documentation, about the violation of human rights and the killing of those who opposed, even among its collaborators, the oppression exercised by the Salvadoran government on the people. “

Or the sad story of Banco Ambrosiano, Roberto Calvi hanged in London under the bridge of the Blacks Friars, hidden money was sent to Poland to anti-Communists Solidarnosc, mafia connections were discovered, as confirmed by the request of the Italian judiciary, in 2007, for a life sentence for Pippo Calo, the “cashier” of Cosa Nostra, and Ernesto Diotallevi, one of the bosses of the Banda della Magliana, then acquitted for lack of evidence.

Or the constant support, if not explicit protection, that was given by Karol Woityla to Marcial Maciel, pedophile and founder of the Legionaries of Christ, a congregation that lacks only the listing, as it has 650 priests, 2,500 students of theology, 30,000 active lay members around the world, dozens of schools, $ 60 million of annual budget.

Not to mention reliance by Karol Wojtyla in Archbishop Paul Marcinkus, an ambiguous character, President – since 1971 – of the Institute for Works of Religion (IOR), the Vatican bank,  target of the Organised Crime and Racheteering Section of Department of Justice of the United States since 1973 and connected by the Italian media in other scandals, such as the death of Pope John Paul I and the disappearance and probable death of Emanuela Orlandi, a young Vatican citizen.

An Institute for Works of Religion  born in June 27, 1942, with the upgrade of the “Commission of charitable organizations”, commissioned in 1887 by Pope Leo XIII and managed from 1929 by the banker Bernardino Nogara in order to ‘invest’ enormous capital, after the Lateran Treaty forced the Italian government to pay to the Holy See the sum of 750 million lire and to deliver government consolidated debt with a face value of 1 billion dollars.

A strange financial transaction as Nogara plowed funds Vatican financing the modernization and industrialization of Fascist Italy was making. A lot of enterpirsed came under the control of the newly established “Special Administration for the Works of Religion”: Italgas, the textile holding CISA-Viscosa, Institute of Land Credit, Assicurazioni Generali, Italian Society for the Southern Railway, Roman Institute of Beni Stabili (a real estate company), Electric Company and Electrochemistry of Caffaro, CONDOR Society for ‘petroleum and chemical industry, Company Mining and Metallurgical Pertusola, Adriatic Society of Electricity and Burgo, Banco di Roma, Banco di Santo Spirito, Savings Bank of Rome, Società Generale Immobiliare and even militar industries as Officine Meccaniche Reggiane, Breda and the National Aeronautics Company, that, in 1935, supplied weapons and ammunition for the Italian ethnic cleansing in Libya.
A ‘non-bank’ which, during the Great Depression, dumped on statal IRI the interest securities of Banco di Roma, Banco di Santo Spirito and Sardinian Credit at market prices, even though they were fully depreciated, with a gain of more than $ 600 million.

If this was ‘given’ when the Commission was essentially operating in Italy, let alone what has become the financial power of the IOR in the world and what might be its political power today, especially, into the Vatican Jerarchy.

Especially if we add that the disease Wojtyla, in the last years of his pontificate, allowed the emersion and branching within the Court of the Pope King of a conglomeration of ugly interests. Or worse, that the Institute of Religious Works, with a long story of suspicions and accusations of money laundering, few months ago has gave to adapt his standards of transparency to those required to banks to operate in the European Union and now IOR operates in Italy as it was a offshore bank.

Shadows, doubts, suspicions, episodes, involvement indicating a profound ethical change if, for example, Mexico has been discussed for years on ‘narco-alms’, where churches are built thanks to public donations of murderous Narco bosses, where Cardinal Juan Sandoval, archbishop of Guadalajara, was investigated for money laundering.

Hence the initial reluctance of Joseph Ratzinger to accept the papal mandate, widely perceived, even then, as in the Conclave of 2005 or as the Corriere della Sera describes, speaking of a “symptom extreme, final, irrevocable crisis of a system of government and a form of the papacy, and the rebellion of a Pope in front of the drift of a Church institution passed in few years from a teacher of life to a sinful entity, from a moral point of reference of Western public opinion to a kind of global charged”.

A decision taken in March 2012, as reported by the director of Osservatore Romano, Gian Maria Vian, that took place while the Vatileaks, a flight of news, for which the papal butler Paolo Gabriele was convicted and then pardoned.

The director of the Vatican Press Office, Father Federico Lombardi, said the attitude of Pope Benedict XVI, at the time of the facts, emphasizing “a line of desire for truth, for the sake of clarity, the desire for transparency, this – even if gradual time – makes his steps, and then honestly I think we are trying to deal with this new situation: we seek the truth, let us understand what objectively happened. But first you need to understand with certainty, respect for people and for the truth. “

A road on the edge of a blade, as an informant of the Panorama magazine (perhaps the toll on Paolo Gabriele) said that “here there is a good amount of blackmail, an equal number of blackmail, a mass of employé, and a percentage reduced by men of faith: among them there are the saints, who keep up the Church. “

A complex history, as wrote Ezio Mauro, Director of Repubblica, (on June 1, 2012) tells the story of “a letter from the Secretary of the Governorate of Vatican City, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, who denounced a series of embezzlements, traffics and conspiracies in the Vatican”, another letter from Cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi, bishop of Milan, who asks reason for the request to “leave the presidency of the Institute Toniolo, which controls two giant centers of influence and power as the Catholic University in Milan and the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome” or the “letter of Cardinal Attilio Nicora, president of the Financial Information of the Vatican, which condemns the refusal of the IOR, the Bank of the Holy See, to provide transparent informations on suspicious bank transactions before the entry into force of the Vatican law against money laundering, on 1 April 2011. “

A sequel to overt or veiled accusations to Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Vatican Chamberlain (Secretary of State), which happened while Ettore Gotti Tedeschi – president of the IOR ‘suggested’ directly by the Pope to restore the IOR – was discouraged unanimously by the Board of Superintendence IOR, “with a personal attack of the Knight of Columbus, Carl Anderson, to de-legitimize” him, that seems inspired by the number two of the Holy See.
A fact that has generated alarm in the financial world and in the European North Atlantic Treaty Organization, as “the deliberate opacity, and insisted sought by IOR can be a window of opportunity for criminal operations of all kinds, with the risk – reported in its letter from Cardinal Nicora – resulting in a blow to the reputation of the Holy See. “

What else to think before the nine transfers for € 225,000, from an IOR account and for a group of criminals of Catania, thanks to a priest, nephew of a mafia boss – in a pattern that was proved quite popular – or the order to Credito Artigiano to transfer 23 million of Euros to JP Morgan in Frankfurt  – as for the Bank of Fucino for 3 millions – in spite of the Italian legislation against money laundering.

A scandalous affair if we discover that, while in Italy many families were going in poverty, some mounthes ago, someone in the Vatican moved large amounts of capital out of Italy, as described by The Daily Done on 21 March 2012.
When “the Bank of Italy required the institutions to ask Ior the name of the real owner of the money handled and the Vatican bank started to ‘unlike’ the Bel Paese, with a series of transfers for tens and tens of millions of euros, Vatican leave Italian banks as Unicredit (former Banca di Roma) and flied to Frankfurt to the JP Morgan bank.
The IOR, to make its millionary gains that feed the activities of USA Congregations, uses an account opened in the only door of the U.S. bank JP Morgan in Italy. … It is the Trojan horse through which the IOR operates in Italy: the movements are over a year and a half exceed 1,5 billions. In October 2011, the Public Prosecutor of Rome discovers the trick and the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Bank of Italy – to intervene. The Bankitalia inspectors asked for information on the real holders of money handled by the IOR. … On 15 February, in order to avoid trouble, Jp Morgan informs Ior the final closure of the account with effect from 30 March 2012. “

An IOR which moves at least one billion euro per year only on the account of JP Morgan Bank in Milan, while the estimated wealth in 2008 would be just around € 5 billion (source Sole24ore), a ridiculous amount when we consider that Mukesh Ambani, the ‘India’s richest man, lives in Mumbai with his family in a skyscraper of 27 floors of worth of $ 1 billion.

An IOR which moves at least one billion euro per year only on the account of JP Morgan Milan, while the estimated wealth in 2008 would be only around € 5 billion (source Sole24ore), a ridiculous amount when you consider that Mukesh Ambani, the ‘ India’s richest man, lives in Mumbai with his family in a skyscraper of 27 floors worth of $ 1 billion. Absurd.

“In today’s world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith, in order to govern the bark of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of soul and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me.”

This is the text of the papal resignation, in which no word is left to chance, as the ‘deteriorated soul strength’ and the ‘inability to manage’.

Resignation which, however, is not an act of impulse, but with all of the time to be organized, for example, appinting 28 new cardinals bringing from 40 to 67 the number of cardinal electors casted by him and far surpassing the 51 residual electors from the pontificate of Pope John Paul II.

How will the Vatican City and what will happen within its walls, if in a few months we will have two popes, one in the chair and the other one retired but alive?

Meanwhile, La Stampa said the pastor Don Renato Sacco, which shows how the Monsignor Luigi Bettazzi, few months ago, “had met with the Pope in and we had hinted at a possible resignation of Ratzinger linking it to health reasons and to the need for renewal of the Church. A renewal that was to come from the leadership of the Church”.

Clearer than that …
The battle continues. Good wins, Evil loses?

Pagherete caro, pagherete tutto

21 Mar

An Italian white golpe is coming?

21 Mar

The General Accounting Office of Italian Republic has formalized that five rules of the Decree on “Liberalizations” do not have financial backing, although having received the approval of the Budget Committee and passed in the Senate.
“Unconstitutional” rules because there is no certainty of resources, but the Monti’s Government has decided to put confidence vote in Parliament, sure that the majority of politicians will do everything to keep seats and sinecures.

No mention about Gianfranco Fini, President of the Chamber of Deputies, that expressed “regret at the insensitivity shown by the Government” that did not provide “further evaluation elements” on an issue that “objectively has its merits”.

A government unresponsive to the demands of the Chamber of Deputies: an example of democracy and respect for rules, is not it?

Unfortunately, the worst happens.

The President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, said, intervening indirectly in the dispute on Welfare, that “today more than ever we need a ‘inclusive’ and fair labor law, concerned to protect the rights of the weakest part of the contract and the reaffirmation of its rigorous duties to safeguard with economic growth and social cohesion “.

“Protecting the rights of the weaker contractual” and “social cohesion” means that the negotiations should not be resolved with “instant decrees” approved by a crowded majority. It seems clear the presidential reference on the “fateful March 23” as announced by Fornero almost like a Delphic horoscope.
As it is evident that Giorgio Napolitano meant to recall the three union confederations to the spirit of unity shown by the constitution, when asked, in the same message, “to strengthen the necessary capacities unitary representation of the working world.”

Given all this, a laconic Mario Monti can not say anything but “will be held Thursday, March 22, at 16, the final meeting between the government and social partners at Palazzo Chigi with the texts and will spread the word.”

An Executive, therefore, not impartial, or technical, but just super, as the “regret” of the President of the Chamber, the “message” of the President of the Republic and the “dissent” of Major Italian trade union (the CGIL) widely demonstrate.

If we were a Latin American with technocrats chosen by world finance as rulers and with parties reduced to an invertebrate Grand Coalition, do you call this a “white golpe”, expecially if  reforms on dismissed and unemployed goes in parliament without a deep and wide debat?
